Grandparents go to find justice for their two grandchildren

Previously, Mr. Doan Trong Sang and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong said that many days had passed, both husband and wife had lost sleep because they were worried about the health of their two grandchildren.
Mr. Sang presented that in 2011, his and his wife’s son, Mr. D.MN, married Ms. NA, then had 2 children, niece HA (SN 2012) and grandchild TN (SN 2014). In 2018, Mr. N. passed away due to serious illness. A few months after his son’s death, Ms. NA publicized her relationship with Mr. T (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) and expressed her desire to marry this man.
Despite the family’s advice, Ms. NA still decided to live together and marry Mr. T. The source of the incident started when Ms. NA brought her 2 young children to live with Mr. T.
“In August 2020, while visiting our two grandchildren, my wife and I discovered that there were many bruises on them due to being beaten. When my wife and I asked, they said they were beaten by Mr. T.” , Mr. Sang said.
The wounds on the two children’s bodies were saved by their families
After discovering that the children showed signs of being beaten, Mr. Sang and Mrs. Hong held a family meeting. At the meeting, both sides of the family admitted that Mr. T. beat 2 children, HA and TN, too cruelly and unacceptable.
According to Mr. Sang, during this meeting, Mr. T.’s parents committed to re-educate Mr. T. to not repeat violent acts. Mr. T.’s parents and NA also promised to protect them. However, acts of violence against two children still took place, making Mr. Sang and his wife angry.
“On December 28, 2020, my wife and I visited our two grandchildren and discovered that HA had many bruises on her side due to being beaten. When my wife and I asked, she said because she didn’t pick up the bowl while eating. ate but left the bowl on the table and used a spoon to eat, so he was beaten by Mr. T.
Next, on April 9, 2021, my wife and I took the children to our house to play, when TN told me that on the night of April 8, he was strangled by his mother’s lover, slapped on the cheek, hit his head on the floor and locked him in. The dark room hurt and scared me. At that time, my mother was also present but could not stop it,” Mr. Sang said.
The next day, Mrs. Hong and her husband brought TN to report the whole incident to the police of Minh Khai ward, then took him to Thanh Nhan Hospital for examination. Here, TN was diagnosed with “monitoring for traumatic brain injury”.

After the People’s Committee of Huu Hoa Commune issued a decision to take care of two children, HA and TN, Mrs. Hong and her husband imported them to their family and asked to transfer the children’s schools to Huu Hoa Primary School. At the end of February 2022, due to the Covid-19 epidemic situation, NA took both children to her grandparents’ house to stay temporarily.
“After the quarantine period was over (15 days), my wife and I went to pick up the grandchildren, but NA did not agree,” Mr. Sang said.
Mr. Sang said that Ms. NA’s actions were not strictly complying with the decisions on delivery and replacement care issued by the People’s Committee of Huu Hoa Commune; obstructing or infringing upon the children’s right to nurture and take care of them, affecting their current and future legitimate interests.
